BUG_PREFIX was useful when Crashpad bugs were in a separate bug database namespace from Chromium bugs, as was the case when both projects were using Monorail. With both now using Buganizer, there is no longer any need to use the crashpad: prefix for Crashpad bugs. Tools will automatically link bug numbers in this field and the links will refer to the correct bug regardless of whether it’s filed under Crashpad, Chromium, or another project.
